The world is full of two kinds of people. Doers and waiters. I don’t mean people who bring you food at a restaurant, I mean people who are waiting for something to happen. It doesn’t matter what something… “I need to meet a person that will complete me”. Thank you Jerry McGuire. “I need to lose weight first.”, “I need to make more money first.”… so on and so forth. People who need something before they can do or be for themselves.

A lot of these waiters are the first to tell you that you can’t or shouldn’t do things yourself, because who are you to…you don’t have…. This is not an insult to you, this is their own beliefs about the world projected outwards.

We all have our dreams. We all have fantasies about what we want our life to be like. Not many of us actually do anything about it because we are waiting for….?

Years ago I read the quote,

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

It really struck me. I have spent years of my life researching how to better my life and what holds the majority of us back. Most people think they deserve better, they are just waiting.
